Overview for Tekmar 162

For nearly three decades, tekmar has been providing zoning and control solutions for a variety of heating and cooling applications. Products made by tekmar can improve the efficiency and comfort delivered by almost any system. The tekmar 162 Setpoint Control is a tekmarNet compatible control that operates a valve, pump, or boiler and maintains a fixed water temperature in your system.
  • Multiple Preset Applications
  • The 162 has six separate modes that you may select from. A basic on/off setpoint or pulse width modulation may be used for heating or cooling. The 162 Setpoint Control may also be used for your hot tub or domestic hot water tank.
  • Finally, this control is also capable of efficiently managing a setpoint temperature for a floor heating system or a pool through pulse width modulation.
  • Intelligent Control
  • The 162 Setpoint Control monitors water temperature at a point in your system. It uses this information to determine what, if any, adjustments need to be made to deliver optimal comfort and efficiency.
  • Connect Your Home
  • This control is tekmarNet compatible. The 162 Setpoint Control may follow a master schedule when connected to a tN4 system. This schedule may be overridden remotely by tekmar user switches and gateways.
  • In a tN4 system your setpoint control may be given priority over thermostats, it can purge heat from your boiler if other zones are not active, and it exercises pumps to prevent corrosion.

    • Product Note
    This product is meant to be used in conjunction with a tekmarNet Wiring Center or Zone Manager for communication and power. It may be used in a stand-alone capacity.
