Taco is at the forefront of circulator innovation. Their drive to provide the most efficient, reliable pumps in the industry can be seen across their entire catalog. Taco's SmartPlug®, winner of AHR Expo's® Product of the Year, upgrades any existing hot water recirculation pump with a power cord to hands-off, "Smart" operation. The SmartPlug® uses a sensor that mounts to the hot water supply pipe and records daily hot water usage patterns in a home. The SmartPlug® then adjusts your existing recirculation pump to run automatically, providing you with instant hot water whenever it is needed. Simply connect the device to any 110V power outlet, then plug the recirculation pump's power cord straight into the SmartPlug®. This small, powerful device is a perfect replacement for inefficient timers and aquastats.
  • Hot Water When You Need It
  • Taco's SmartPlug® is engineered to track your home's hot water usage patterns, then provide automatic instant hot water when you need it - all without the need for programming, timers, or aquastats.
  • Water Conservation
  • The SmartPlug® allows you to save up to 12,000 gallons of water per year by eliminating the wait for hot water to reach taps and fixtures.
  • Smart Mode
  • In "Smart" mode, the SmartPlug® records hot water usage over a 7 day period and automatically cycles the recirculation pump based on the preceding week's usage pattern.
  • Pulse Mode
  • When set to "Pulse" mode, the SmartPlug® will continuously cycle the recircluation pump for 5 minutes, then turn off for 10 minutes to maintain hot water availability at all fixtures.
  • Vacation Mode
  • In Vacation mode, the SmartPlug® will turn the circulator off after 36 hours of no hot water usage and will remain off until it is detected again. The SmartPlug® will also cycle the circulator for 10 seconds every 7 days to prevent corrosion.
