Overview for Mitsubishi PLA-A18EA8

For over 50 years, Mitsubishi has remained at the forefront of the mini split industry thanks to their dedication to providing efficient, user-friendly comfort solutions. The PLA-A18EA8 is an unobtrusive ceiling cassette unit for use in single zone and multi-zone mini split systems. The low-profile design is paired with quiet operation that provide comfort without disrupting your space. This unit features Mitsubishi's 3D i-see Sensor® that thermally scans for warm and cold spots so conditioned air can be directed effectively. With multiple operating modes, multiple fan speeds and airflow directions, the PLA-A18EA8 fits the needs of nearly any room.
  • 3D i-see Sensor®
  • The PLA-A cassette unit includes an advanced thermal sensor that scans the room for hot and cold spots as well as occupancy. Using this information, the cassette unit can be programmed to direct airflow to certain areas of the zone in specific scenarios.
  • Dehumidification
  • When the indoor unit is run in dry mode, the coil's temperature stays just below the dew point of the return air, removing unwanted moisture. This improves comfort and reduces the chance of mold growth and other property damage in the conditioned space.
  • Vane Control
  • Optimal air flow can be achieved with the PLA-A thanks to the individual vane control option. This function provides access to an auto mode and a swing mode.
  • Kumo Cloud Compatible
  • Control every zone in your home from the palm of your hand. The Kumo Cloud App allows easy access and control with any smartphone or internet browser.
  • Condensate Removal System
  • The PLA-A contains an internal drain mechanism capable of lifting condensate 33-7/16". This simplifies installation and prevents condensate overflow, which can damage or destroy your property.
