The new intelli-HEAT™ coils are designed to add air conditioning to an existing furnace or be the solution when installing a new system. The PAA-A36BA1 is a cased coil for use in horizontal (left or right) or vertical (up or down) applications. This unit features an intelligent comfort control function that switches between heat pump and furnace to reduce gas usage. Pair the intelli-HEAT™ coils with a Mitsubishi outdoor condenser for efficient and effective home comfort for years to come.

  • The PAA-A36BA1 automatically switches between an all-electric heat pump and an existing gas furnace to help reduce gas usage.
  • Heat Exchanger
  • The intelli-HEAT™ coils come with an optimized heat exchanger that provides longevity and efficiency.
  • Kumo Cloud Compatible
  • Control every zone in your home from the palm of your hand. The Kumo Cloud App allows easy access and control with any smartphone or internet browser.
  • Multi-Position Installation
  • The intelli-HEAT™ coils can be installed horizontally (left or right) or vertically (up or down) using the included drain pan. The drain pan is crafted from high quality materials making it heat resistant and lowering moisture absorption.
  • Compatible Furnaces
  • Mitsubishi's intelli-HEAT™ coils are compatible with any thermostatically controlled NG or LP furnace that is ANSI-Z21.47/CSA2.3 certified.

    This product requires a compatible mini split outdoor condenser and the following accessories for indoor unit installation:
    • Line Set - This double insulated tubing transfers refrigerant efficiently between your outdoor condenser and indoor units.
    • Disconnect Box & Electrical Whip Kit - The Disconnect Box & Whip Kit provides a safe and simple way to connect your outdoor condenser to your fuse box.
    • Outdoor Condenser Plastic Pad or Wall Bracket - We recommend outdoor condensers should not be placed directly on the ground. An outdoor condenser pad or wall bracket will provide a stable way to mount your condenser free from obstructions and debris.
