A Goodman high efficiency central air package is the perfect way to upgrade your home's HVAC system. The DSZC1660AVPTC features a DSZ16 two-stage heat pump to provide both heating and cooling for your entire home. A two-stage heat pump will operate at higher efficiencies by switching to a lower capacity during low demand periods. When paired with a variable speed air handler, specifically picked to optimize the two-stage heat pump with a variable speed blower, this system provides high efficiency, low-cost comfort year round.
  • Quiet Comfort
  • The wire fan discharge grille and condenser fan motor of the DSZC160601 were designed to reduce noise levels without compromising performance. This model also has a high-capacity discharge muffler and a high-density foam sound blanket.
  • Filter Drier
  • A bi-flow filter drier is installed in the liquid line of this heat pump. It serves two purposes: removing moisture and trapping impurities. This prevents corrosion, freezing, and blockages that can impact the operation of the heat pump.
  • SmartShift
  • Goodman's SmartShift technology, combined with ambient and coil temperature sensors, gives this unit a quiet and effective defrost system. SmartShift also helps to prevent short-cycling, increasing the efficiency of defrost operations.
  • UltraTech Compressor
  • A two-stage Copeland UltraTech scroll compressor provides the DSZC160601 with incredibly reliable refrigerant flow. The second stage increases efficiency by allowing the compressor to operate at a lower capacity when your demand is low.

  • The AVPTC has a factory-installed internal thermostatic expansion valve. This streamlines installation and maintains ideal refrigerant flow for your system.

  • By scaling the airflow to the unique demands and challenges of your home, the advanced variable speed blower motor in the AVPTC provides ideal airflow through shifting conditions in nearly any application.
