In 1954, Amtrol invented the first expansion tank to control pressure build-up and energy consumption in heating and chilled water systems. More than 50 years later they are still the world?s leading expansion tank manufacturer.The RX radiant heating system expansion tank collects expanded water as system temperatures rise, reducing potentially dangerous pressure build-up. Ideal for residential applications, the RX-15 is equipped with a 100 percent tested sealed air cushion, water-tight reservoir, air stem for pre-charge adjustment, and a deep drawn steel tank, all ensuring the reliability of your tank over the long haul. Since it is designed to specifically work with radiant heating systems, the plastic liner is compatible with both barrier and non-barrier tubing. The RX also has a non-ferrous system connection for corrosion resistance and is suitable for use with glycol.
